I get asked questions all the time. As a wife of twenty-six years, a mom of ten—seven having been adopted, a homeschooler and a writer of over 60 books people want to know how my life works. Here is one of those questions and my short answer. More to come in the coming weeks!
Would you decide to homeschool your kids again if given the chance? What benefits have you seen in your older kids as a result of their homeschooling? — Stephanie L.
Yes, absolutely! It was hard, but I wouldn’t change a thing. My three older kids love God, all serve in ministry, and are close to their family (us!) All of them went to college and did great. My sons are awesome godly men who serve their families well. My daughter is a missionary in the Czech Republic serving as a University professor teaching English. Homeschooling built our bond as a family. We had time to serve together and to develop great traditions like dinner every night as a family and reading together. I wouldn’t change a thing—which is why I’m homeschooling our adopted kids ages 6, 6, 9, 12, 13, 13 and 16!
