Today on the WalkItOut Podcast were talking motherhood with Rachel Marie Martin author of <em>The Brave Art of Motherhood<em>

In today’s episode, I’m excited to welcome Rachel Marie Martin.

Today we’re talking about motherhood. Oh, motherhood. We always have these wonderful ideas of what type of mothers we’re going to be — and then … life happens! And then … kids happen! Today’s guest is mother Rachel Marie Martin. Rachel is the blogger at FindingJoy.net. Having pulled herself up from poverty to being named one of Inc. magazine’s top 40 entrepreneurs, has been writing Finding Joy full time for several years and writing online for over a decade. Rachel is a single mom of 7, whose experiences range from homeschooling her two oldest daughters from kindergarten through graduation, now being a public school mom of 5. She’s the daughter of church planters, a long time housewife and now a professional businesswoman.

Moms, I know that you will be encouraged by today’s interview with Rachel! You can listen above or on iTunes! I’d love it if you shared with your friends!

This Week’s Walk It Out Scripture

John 8:32

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

This Week’s Walk It Out Prayer

Dear Lord, you know the fear and doubts that plague our mind as mothers. I pray that you will help each of us find confidence, and find out who we are — to look back on our lives and see the challenges, the highs, and the lows and discover who we are in you. I just thank you, Lord, that you are doing that with Rachel. I pray a blessing over this book that this message will continue to go out. I pray a blessing over her kids and you will use it all for glory. And for all the moms out there, who need that strength and courage, I pray that they will fill inspired today.

    Tricia and Rachel,

What a blessing to listen to this podcast today! I am not a parent, having lost several children to miscarriage. BUT I am an almost 63 year old wife, sister, friend and daughter in law. The truths you were sharing are so very pertinent to everyone! I loved hearing you share (Rachel, I think?) about God telling you that you can be bitter or joyful. You have to choose.

Awesome encouragement. Thank you so much!!!
