What Book are You Thankful For?

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! I hope you enjoy spending the day with loved ones. I recently asked my Facebook friends what books they’re thankful for, and I thought today was the perfect day to share their answers. As for me the book I’m thankful for is Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby. You can read more about why here.

Angela Blankenship Rogers: The Yada Yada Prayer Group by Neta Jackson; for the first time it made me want to fellowship and get to know other Christian women!
Martha Artyomenko: Well, Redeeming Love was one of the first novels that I read after my few-year fast from reading. It was the first thing to break through the outside wall I had built up and showed me the love of the Lord for me.
Betty Winslow: Where Is God When It Hurts? and Disappointment with God, both by Philip Yancey; they comforted me after my daughter died.
Charlotte Driver: The Forgotten God by Francis Chan because it opened by heart more fully to the Holy Spirit’s leading in my life.
Karen H. Phillips: Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller made me rethink how to reach those who don’t know Jesus, not to mention my own walk with Him.
Carol Burton McLeod: The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson; Stepping Heavenward; Streams in the Desert; The Little House Books; Elsie Dinsmore books; The Applause of Heaven by Max Lucado. Books have left a lasting and impactful print on my life. I am a read-aholic and have been changed, challenged, and enriched by the power of the written word.
Golden Keyes Parsons: Captivating by Staci Eldredge
Lisa Troyer: Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby
Lisa Suit: 1000 Gifts by Ann Voskamp & The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson
Gloria Clover: The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis. Put me on my face before God because the Spirit convicted me of my personal sin against a Holy God, and how deceived I had been to think I was OK.
Alisha Linn: No Other Gods by Kelly Minter. Really opened my eyes to the other “gods” in my life and how Jesus Christ is not merely the God but MY God! Highly recommend!
Janice Hanna Thompson: The Heavenly Man by Paul attaway
Tara Kolker: Kisses from Katie. End of the Spear. Hope Lives. Under the Overpass. Praying for Your Future Husband. Because these books have changed my life. God has used them beyond what I ever expected.
Jennifer Cross Janes: Redeeming Love. It’s a beautiful reminder that God loves me no matter what.
