My 15-year-old daughter took her brother to see Evan Almighty for his 18th birthday. (Awww … it was so sweet of her that I didn’t even mind that I wasn’t invited!)
They LOVED the movie. They came home and told John and I that we HAD to see it. They are very picky movie watchers (I have no idea where they get that from!), and they both gave it two thumbs up.
On a side note, before they went they looked up the reviews on Yahoo. Leslie said it didn’t get very good reviews from the critics. Cory answered, “Perfect, that means it’s going to be good. Let’s go.”
Ah, they learn young.
oh I want to see it!!! Looks really good!
both my husband and I LOVED the movie…despite some inaccuracies, there was quite a bit of truth! (like when God laughed at Evan thinking his plans were more important than God’s plan.)
we took our kids (10 and 8) and had a great discussion afterward.
there were so many things I liked about the movie, but best of all our of us laughed until it hurt.
oops…the last line there should read, “but best of all, the four of us laughed until it hurt”! 🙂
My family saw Evan Almighty and loved it! I am grateful to be able to go out to a movie with our family and not be confronted with every imaginable evil.
We laughed and enjoyed the story. It gave us several discussion points for the ride home. Good clean fun.
