The Books Authors Read | Anita Higman (Plus a Giveaway)

tg-booksauthorsread

What was your favorite book as a child?

The Little Golden Book, Cinderella. The story was full drama and romance, and it had this wonderful happily-ever-after.

What book did you read that first made you want to be an author?

Probably the Trixie Belden Mysteries.

What was the last book you read, just for fun?

I’m reading Jane Eyre. It’s such a masterpiece! When I’m finished I’m going to start it all over again.

What upcoming release are you most looking forward to?

A Marriage in Middlebury. I had great fun writing this particular book, since it has some comedy in it as well as some funky characters. I hope readers enjoy the ride!

About A Marriage in Middlebury

A Marriage in Middlebury cover_500One decision changed both their lives . . . but will love win in the end? Charlotte Rose Hill enjoys a comfortable life serving up country delicacies, uniquely blended teas, and matchmaking advice for her quirky, devoted customers. The only thing lacking is someone to share it with. At eighteen she denied Sam Wilder’s marriage proposal after his family convinced her to walk away from their relationship. They both moved on . . . or so she thought. When Sam walks back into her life more than a decade later, Charlotte is surprised that her heart still quickens. But is it because of his presence? Or because of the presence of Sam’s new fiancée? A second chance at love doesn’t happen often, but their past may keep them apart. Is it too late for Sam and Charlotte? The Trixie Belden mysteries were the books that started me on my life as a bookworm. I’m 51 and still own all of them and actually have re-read them all in the last 5 years lol!
