I get asked questions all the time. As a wife of twenty-six years, a mom of ten—seven having been adopted, a homeschooler and a writer of over 60 books people want to know how my life works. Here is one of those questions and my short answer. More to come in the coming weeks!
How do you balance it all? —Christina
I don’t do it all! We’ve said no to almost every outside commitment. My young adult son helps by giving rides to therapy and watching kids when I have appointments. I have a house cleaner come for deep cleaning 3 hours a week. My kids all have chores. They’re responsible for cleaning the kitchen, living room, and their bathroom on a rotating basis. They help with some cooking, setting the table, putting food away and all dinner dishes. I have an assistant to helps with online work. I never watch TV and rarely watch movies. I often write from 4-6 a.m. I like to nap. It’s just making hard choices to focus on what’s most important.
