First, it was the rehearsal dinner for Cory’s best bud Zach. Zach has been like one of our kids for as long as I can remember. I helped to homeschool him for a few years and I can’t believe he’s getting married! I’m doing all the bouquets tomorrow and I’m excited, but wasn’t it just last week him and Cory were playing Risk? (Actually, it was two weeks ago 🙂 But marriage, wow. Good thing I totally love Natalie!
Then also was the meeting about Cory’s graduation. As homeschoolers is really cool because we, his parents, get to give him his diploma. I have CRIED my eyes out at the other homeschool graduations. How am I going to handle my son’s? And then we have to go up there and talk? Wow. I suppose I have until May 24th to get prepared! (P.S. Ya’ll are invited, Easthaven Baptist Church, Kalispell!)
So as we talk of caps and gowns and tuxes and veils and suddenly I realize that that little old lady in the grocery store told the truth. Time does fly. They do grow fast.
Stop Lurking! Every week I will draw names for a free Tricia Goyer book from those who comment on my blogs. Winner’s choice! Tell your friends.
I went through my oldest son’s graduation last year! His baseball team had just won the sectionals and the honor to go to state the day of their graduation. The team members wore their baseball uniforms under their gowns. Some of them even had the eye black on! It was great!!!!!
I wish your son the best. Cindi

Do you homeschool??!! Sorry, I may be blonde, but if you do, I TOTALLY did not realize that!
My second daughter is graduating from high school this year, and my oldest will graduate from college. It’s very exciting and bittersweet…one of our 8 year old twins came up to sit on my lap today and I just held on to him for all he was worth. It does go fast, but it’s exciting to see them fly away ready for their next adventures. I imagine it’s harder for homeschool moms since you have literally right next to the kids as they transitioned to responsible adults. The first three weeks that they are gone are the worst…
Thanks for understanding, Susan! Hahaha, he’s not even gone yet 🙂
Yes, I homeschool. My oldest is graduating this year … wow, what an accomplishment! I wouldn’t change that decision for anything. 🙂
