Fall 2014: Favorite Blogs

My Favorite Blogs: Fall 2014

As a writer, I’m honored to have my work featured on some of my favorite blogs. I thought I’d share the blog-love with the readers on my own site too! Here they are, in no particular order…

TheMOBSociety.comThe Mob Society: FOR Moms of Boys, BY Moms of Boys

Created in 2010 by Erin Mohring and Brooke McGlothlin, The MOB Society has quickly become a beacon of hope for boy moms, and the online home for all things boys. With five boys between them, Erin and Brooke have lots of boy mom experience. Do they have all of the answers? No. But they believe in a God who will supply all of their needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus, and they want to help you have that same faith. No matter what. Their goal is to help you laugh at and with your boys, learn to apply scripture practically in your boys’ day-to-day lives, answer the hard questions, and understand your own reactions to your boys. I was one of the featured writers on their Meet The Team video series recently. Take a look below… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fLlob1jg7c

ForTheFamily.org - Training Families to Transform the WorldForTheFamily.org – Training Families to Transform the World

Their mission is to encourage and equip families to build God-honoring homes for the glory of God and the good of the world. They are for the family because they believe God dearly loves the family. God has uniquely chosen the family to help pass along faith to the next generation and image who He is to the world.  Their hope is to provide everyday wisdom for everyday families so that you may be strengthened, encouraged, challenged, and inspired! They seek to provide biblical wisdom in the following areas:

  • Christ-centered marriages
  • Parenting by grace through faith (and not just formula)
  • Motherhood
  • Fatherhood
  • Relationships
  • Hope for the hurting

SonomaChristianHome.com - Celebrating Food, Faith & FamilySonomaChristianHome.com – Celebrating Food, Faith & Family

Sonoma Christian Home is a romantic hybrid of iconic favorites, such as House Beautiful, Bon Appetit and Town & Country – yet filled with award-winning Christian-based content. Framed by the lush vineyards and rich farmlands of Sonoma County, California, SCH resides in the culinary cradle of the U.S. From the moment the reader arrives, their senses are stimulated by the harmony of elegant design, stunning photography and the warmth of a beautiful home. Here’s my latest article on their site… “The Sad News About Adoption in Our World”

TheBetterMom.com - Growing Better TogetherTheBetterMom.com – Growing Better Together

They are moms who desire to be “better” even though they are busy. They believe God has placed a high-calling on our lives as we raise children who will impact the world, take care of our homes, love our husbands, and ultimately honor God with our lives. Their mission is to build God-honoring homes by inspiring moms to be better moms through sharing life and learning together.

HEDUA.comHEDUA.com – Everything For Today’s Homeschooling Family

Home Educating Family Association has everything for today’s homeschool family. Whether you are just considering homeschooling your child or a seasoned veteran, HEDUA has something for you. They have a magazine, beautiful planners, product reviews, and so much more. They help keep up with the trends, make sense of the issues, and enjoy your unique family. InspiredByLifeAndFiction.com InspiredByLifeAndFiction.com – 10 Novelists bound by the pen, sisterhood, and more These ladies are my writer-sisters and I’m so thankful for them! When we get together, we spend our time talking, laughing, praying, and plotting each others’ books. Since we’ve been meeting together for so long, we know each other well. Not only do we share in this blog, but we also keep up with each other during the year through a private loop. We recently did our yearly writing retreat. I wrote about it here. (Hint: Keep your eyes peeled for juicy author events and giveaways…)

So those are just some of my favorite blogs for Fall 2014.

What are some of your favorites? I’d love to discover more of them!

I know most of these blogs! I love that you have your inspired by life and fiction group! In my area I have a group of bloggers, we call it our mastermind group, and we get together and discuss blogging and writing and all that goes into it, and just generally help each other out! It is great to have a group like them!
