Yesterday, I wrote. I fried falafel. I cuddled with my niece. I played with my other niece and nephew. I signed my taxes. I filled out an application for a missions’ trip. I answered email. I snuggled with my husband. I talked with my kids. I wrote more. I wrote letters to friends, asking for support for our missions’ trip. Some things seemed like “God’s work.” Some things seemed like busy work. But in the end, isn’t using our time, energy, love, and care all God’s work?
I love this quote by William Law: “If we are to live unto God at any time, or in any place, we are to live unto Him at all times and all places. If we are to use anything as the gift of God, we are to use everything as His gift.”
Lately, what “everything” have you been doing in your service to God?
