That’s what my 9-month old daughter considers normal, and that’s my normal too. This normal was very different last year at this time. I spent most of my day writing, on email, reading.
The work’s still getting down, but at different times, like nap times and after daddy gets home. And for some reason the work’s not as vital as it seemed one year ago.
Some people ask me why I wanted to start again. Mostly because nothing is more fulfilling to love and serve you child … especially when naps are still included.
I am not sure there is a normal with kids in the house. Around here it is a constant fluctuation between chaos and on the verge of chaos – or that is how it often seems. 😀 It is a blast though!
I liked your list–I remember those days well, but my two sons are now teenagers, so my normal is very different. I am a teacher who is on summer vacation, so my normal involves sleeping in, playing tennis, going for a walk, maybe watching a movie in the afternoon. It’s a very different normal than during the school year!
