It’s 2 a.m. here in Prague as I write this. Our hotel is right next to the Charles Bridge, and even at this hour I can see people walking about, snapping photos of statues of the states. Just a moment ago a group walked by singing. (I am awake because Alyssa woke up wanted to see the bridge and the clock again! Please pray she gets on the right schedule soon!)
Our travel was uneventful. Hurray! We’ve had absolutely no problems so far. Little Alyssa did fantastic! Our seatmates all commented how great she did. She’s been looking forward to this trip for months. She also loves airplanes. (That helps!) What helps most are your prayers!
As I was walking yesterday, I realized it’s so easy to focus on the beautiful buildings, bridges, and statues, but the truth is that so many people here need to know the peace of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I know how my life has been TRANSFORMED because of Jesus, and I want to offer that same hope!
It’s also amazing because so much church history can be seen. Just yesterday we stood before a statue of Jan Hus (John Hus in English) but so few know his story:
And that is my prayer for each of us: that the Holy Spirit may enlighten our deceived hearts, and that the truth of the holy Gospel may open the eyes of those here and abroad . . . and that God’s praise be spread everywhere, forever and ever. Amen.
P.S. I have a giveaway going on my friend Meghan’s blog! Check it out here: http://www.thetuckerstaketennessee.com/
God bless you and your family, Tricia, as you minister to the Czechs. Have you reconnected with Leslie yet?
Wow Prague! I’d like to go there!!
