Must Try Recipe: Sherry’s Best Pecan Pie Recipe

I love Sherry Gore’s recipes–I mean, they are beyond delicious!  So I was so excited to be able to publish some of her recipes in my book Made With Love.  Today, I want to share with you a favorite of mine. Enjoy Sherry’s Best Pecan Pie Recipe.

Sherry’s Best Pecan Pie Recipe PDF

 

Sherry’s Best Pecan Pie Recipe (from Made With Love)

Filling Ingredients:

3 large eggs, beaten

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/3 cup butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup light corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1 cup pecan halves

For the crust use one 9-inch unbaked pastry pie crust

vanilla ice cream (optional)

To prepare:

Preheat over to 350 degrees. Mix eggs, sugar, butter, alt, corn syrup, and vanilla in a bowl. Stir in chopped pecans. Pour into pie crust. Reserve 1/4 cup of filling. Top with pecan halves. Pour reserved filling over the top of the crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes.

For the garnish:

Serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
