In this photo of my desk, you can see:
1. I’m messy.
2. I have a cat. His name is Mojo.
3. I like coffee and Scrabble. There’s my Scrabble mug from my good friend and first reader.
4. My husband is handy and nice (he built the room, made the bookcase, and gave me the flowers).
The computer desk itself was handed down from a friend when she moved out of state a few years ago.

5. A fragrant candle burning (this one is a Christmas gift from my son).
6. Index cards—I use these for notes or sequencing scenes.
7. Post-It notes and tabs (love tabbies).
8. Research books (proudly wearing many tabs).
9. A book of old London maps behind the lamp.
10. My very low-tech pocket planner to keep track of deadlines and speaking events.
11. My mouse pad from Tredegar House in Wales. We visited in 2011 for their “Butler and Housekeeper tour” when I was researching The Maid of Fairbourne Hall.
12. An electric heater. This is, after all, Minnesota in winter.

I LOVED your new book Julie. I’ll be writing my review soon, but wanted you to know how much I enjoyed it. It was also helpful as I work on the characters for my book. 🙂
Blessings,
Jodie Wolfe
Nice office. I love your cat’s name. He looks like a statue in the picture…but a pretty statue. 🙂
Thanks for the tour of your personal work space!
I entered! Julie, I love your kitty! Give him some extra pets and cuddles from your readers!!!! 😀 No good book is complete without a cat trying to get in front of it. 🙂
Thanks for the opportunity to win! Love Julie’s books.
Tricia – These “My Writing Desk” posts are some of my favorites! I love to see where our beloved authors hammer out their wonderful stories for us. Not only is it a fun insight into the writing life, it’s also cool to see how many different styles and methods and personalities (and companions) writers bring into their work spaces.
Julie – I would LOVE a copy of your new book! I pray abundant blessings over this book, that it will continue to stir the hearts of people in their pursuit of Christ.
Blessings,
Becky
Thanks everyone! And thanks for stopping by Tricia’s fun blog for a visit to my office! 🙂

I have loved Julie Klassen’s books before I even knew she has family where I live!
I absolutely love Julie Klassen books. Each one is such an all-absorbing story. You feel as if you are there ~ or at least, eavesdropping. I would be hard pressed to choose a “favorite.” They indeed stand-alone ~ all excellent.
