In the corner of our dining room I have a small folding table that is serving as a computer desk for me.
This is what it looks like in the morning when I’m ready to sit down to work on my current manuscript for The Adventures of Lily Lapp series.
A few notepads where I jot down things I want to remember to weave into my story.
A pen holder with a hodgepodge assortment of pens that may or may not be able to write. Once a month I will weed out the junky ones and replace them with good pens, but they have a way of disappearing. I have a feeling a closer inspection of the children’s rooms would reveal enough pens to stock an aisle at my favorite office supply store.
I don’t drink coffee, but I do enjoy fresh cold water while I’m working.
If I would take a picture of my writing corner in the evening, it would look quite different after being blessed with artwork from my children, any mail that came, an assortment of baby toys, and any other little treasures that happened to be picked up though out the day by little hands, which can be almost anything.
It always gets cleaned off in the evening so I feel re-energized the next morning to enter into the world of a little Amish girl named Lily.

I think pens end up in the same never land as socks. I love the view from your window – beautiful!
