I am blessed with a home office in a spare bedroom. I love to be surrounded by my books as I write. My desk overlooks the backyard, and I get plenty of sunshine in the afternoon.

Dr. MaryAnn Diorio is an award-winning, widely published author of non-fiction and short stories. Her first novella, A Christmas Homecoming, will be released by Harbourlight Books in December. Her novel, The Madonna of Pisano, won first place in the inspirational category of the 2011 Colorado Romance Writers Heart of the Rockies Contest; first place in the 2011 Space Coast Launching a Start Contest; and second place in the 2011 Romance Writers’ Ink Where the Magic Begins Contest. Mary Ann was also a Third Place Genesis winner in Women’s Fiction in 2006.

An office with a spare bedroom? That’s perfect! Add a kitchen and a spare bathroom to this place, and you could practically live in your office. One of the perks of working at home is you basically have everything you need for your comfort. Not everyone has that privilege, so take advantage of it. Haha!
