In case you haven’t seen my excited tweets and Facebook updates, I wanted to let you know about a new website that I’ve headed up the creation of: Not Quite Amish! Not Quite Amish is a community blog for those who love Amish communities, simple living, vintage style, and have a desire to be in growing relationships with friends, family, and God. The regular contributors include authors of Amish fiction, simple-lifestyle bloggers, and God-girls.
We really have some amazing contributors with great posts coming up! The site will feature daily posts about recipes, repurposing, simple style, beautifying your home, book chats, sewing and knitting projects, wisdom, Scripture, Amish proverbs, and Q&As with Amish and former Amish (among many other topics).
Even better is that you can submit post ideas or pitch posts you’d like to write! For more info, click here.
I’d love for you to drop by (hopefully daily) and support these wonderful contributors! You can visit the website at www.notquiteamishliving.com.
Tricia, your new website looked simple yet beautiful. 🙂 I liked the slideshow of the first image. What attracted me most, however, were those “Five easy dishes to make with Rotisserie Chicken” – I’m a chicken lover myself, you know. 🙂 All in all, your new website looked cool and very well-organized.
What are you saying, Sage? Who doesn’t love chicken? 🙂 You have a good website, Tricia. It would be better if you add demo videos of “How to cook (recipe)” on your website. That would surely add life to your website and give people a reason to come back for more.
When you are marinading the chicken, make sure you do your best to get it under the skin, AND ON THE MEAT. You know, coating the skin with the marinade while cooking will make it a lot tastier. However, it won’t do a lot for the meat underneath. 🙁 By the way, congratulations on your new website, Tricia.
Thanks for the advice @Bryan! I’m only starting to learn how to cook. In fact, I’m on cooking different chicken dishes. Aside from the written step-by-step on how to cook, maybe you can include in your new website some videos of how to do this and that to make it easier to follow.
