For the last few weeks I’ve been entertaining a large group of people. You see, we’ve been planning for our Czech Mission Trip and we’ve been having weekly potlucks at our house. The company is fun, but the cooking … well, with my busy schedule it can be challenging.
Then (thanks to Mom Central!) I was able to try Ragu pouches. First of all I had to admit I didn’t know what the big deal was. I mean, how hard is it to heat sauce on a stovetop? Then, I tried the pouches. They were superfast and they didn’t make a mess in my microwave (unlike pasta sauce popping on the stovetop). And they tasted just as good as the stuff in the jar! With the sauce done, I made a fast spaghetti casserole. Now if I could find a way in which I didn’t have to boil the noodles!
Stop Lurking! Every week I will draw names for a free Tricia Goyer book from those who comment on my blogs. Winner’s choice! Tell your friends.
You can’t beat pasta when to feed a large crowd, and this sauce (I suppose) would make it even easier. I especially related to the remark about the dirty clean-up on the stove top!
Thanks for writing about this product, Tricia. I frequently need something fast, so I’ll try it.
another thing you can do is after you boil the pasta, dump the cold sauce right in with the pasta and stir. It heats up from the heat of noodles usually! I make my own sauce and freeze it in baggies in the freezer.
