Relentless with Michele Cushatt

Today on the #WalkItOut Podcast, I’m excited to be catching up with my sweet friend, Michele Cushatt. Michele’s newest book is Relentless: The Unshakeable Presence of a God Who Never Leaves. As an experienced communicator, Michele Cushatt speaks internationally to a wide variety of audiences including Women of Faith, Life Today TV, Compassion International, Focus on the Family, and more! Michelle is a three-time head and neck cancer survivor and parent of “children from hard places,” Michele is a reluctant expert of trauma, pain, and the deep human need for authentic connection. She and her husband, Troy, share a blended family of six children, including biological children, stepchildren, and foster-adopt children.

Have you ever asked, “Where is God … and why isn’t He doing something?” Suffering is everywhere. It can be unrelenting at times. Maybe you’ve asked, “Why should I pray when God doesn’t doing something about it?” Maybe you’ve thought, I must have done something wrong …

Michele and I have both had those questions, and as you’ll hear in today’s broadcast, it’s not that God is silent. Instead, much disappointment comes from a false theology. As Michele says, “There’s an element within us that may say, ‘I’m being good, so why doesn’t God give me what I feel like I deserve?”

Instead of asking “God, where are you?” Michele invites us to see where God is, and what He is already doing. If you feel beat up by faith, friend, this conversation is for you. As you listen, you’ll be invited to lift your gaze from the pain and instead discover how hardship can cause your faith to dig deeper roots. May you listen and find hope.
