Seasons change. Life changes. Kids grow up. These are three things I’m tuning into this fall.
Seasons are changing.
I see them in the turning of the leaves and the geese flying south. The hot, humid air is turning cool and crisp. Halloween is just around the corner, and Thanksgiving isn’t far behind.
Life is constantly changing.
School is back in session and our summer routines and schedules have switched back to our fall schedules. I’m working on so many exciting projects; books, podcasts, interviews, blog posts, and more. It’s always fun to try something new, and it’s even more fun to find that you’re passionate about one of those new things.
The kids are growing up.
This is the biggest challenge for me as a homeschooling mom. With most of my kids grown and out of school now, I only have three left that I’m pestering to “get your work done” during the day. John and I talk with them about college options and plans for the future. We balance family game nights with talks about life.
The thing that doesn’t change is God.
He remains the same. No matter what is going on, He is there. He stands guard over the seasons. He births new projects in my heart. He will continue to guide my children, watch over them, and be with them… even when they’re far away from good ole’ Mom.
What’s different about this season in your life?
Maybe it’s an expected change, like the changing of the weather. Maybe it’s exciting, like a new project. Or maybe it’s a little bit scary, like the idea of big kids going into a big world.
Whatever you face, trust that God is already there, waiting as you walk through each step. He’ll guide you, He’ll love you, and He’ll help you. I know that with all the changes for my family this season, I’m learning to trust Him more. How about you?
