Stay Home Journals help kids focus on good things.
During this time, kids need a place to think, write, or draw what is going on in their hearts and minds. Writing helps kids process emotions. Writing moves thoughts from a kids’ emotional brain to his thinking brain, allowing him to process all that’s going on.
I believe in this so much, I’ve created Stay Home Journals for kids.

Angry Kids Are Often Anxious Kids
Through the process of adopting seven children, we went to a lot of therapy, and I read a lot of books. (I even wrote one: Calming Angry Kids!) I learned that when a child’s emotional brain is spiked, her thinking brain is turned off. This is important to remember.
“A child who appears to be oppositional or aggressive may be reacting to anxiety—anxiety he may, depending on his age, not be able to articulate effectively, or not even fully recognize that he’s feeling. Especially in younger kids with anxiety you might see freezing and clinging kind of behavior,” says Dr. Rachel Busman, a clinical psychologist at the Child Mind Institute, “but you can also see tantrums and complete meltdowns.’” https://childmind.org/article/how-anxiety-leads-to-disruptive-behavior/
When your child is anxious, worried, angry or confused, it will be impossible for your child to learn. Stay Home Journals help kids process their emotions, capture memories, and focus on good things.
