Walk It Out #135: Boy Mom with Monica Swanson

WIO #135: Boy Mom with Monica Swanson. We're chatting all about raising boys! You're going to love this episode.

Boy Mom with Monica Swanson

I am the mother of three sons, ages 10-31 years old. I’ve raised two sons from newborn to adulthood, and it’ll be a while until the third leaves home. As a mom of older sons, I understand clearly that they do grow up and make decisions about God—and their relationship with Him—all on their own. Also, the way they love and serve God impacts future generations. Knowing this makes me diligent about training the boy that I still have at home. And no matter what ages my sons are, I still pray for them!

I’m so thankful for the time I invested in my older sons. The time I spent through the years makes a difference now. Weekly I still spend time with my two adult boys. We love to play games and talk. I also know my prayers matter, too. I’ve seen many prayers answered, and I’m still praying for them daily! What does this prove? Dedicating ourselves to our sons makes all the difference.
