In today’s episode we’re chatting with Thomas Graumann.
At age eight, Thomas Graumann boarded a train in Czechoslovakia he thought was a three month holiday. “Go to Britain, learn English, and when the Germans leave, you can come home,” his mother told him. Thomas carried two suitcases and a bag of food. At the time, Thomas knew that his country had been taken over by the Germans, but his story doesn’t end there. Join us today to hear Thomas’ full story in his own words.

Walk It Out
A special thanks to Life Worship for the use of their song Wide Open Space for my theme song!
What an amazing story! Thank you, Tricia, for recording this amazing man’s journey. It’s sad that so many rescue stories are being lost as this population ages. God works in such unique and fascinating ways and People like Mr. Graumann are able to demonstrate clearly how he uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. I’m looking forward to reading more about his story in your next book!
This was such a surprise for me to hear, Tricia. I don’t remember really hearing many story’s of the children who fled to Europe & other country’s but the USA. I too cannot wait to read Thomas’ story! The part you told us at the end about his mother’s will was the icing on the cake. I’ve been reading about how Blessings upon others live are irrevocable and the wishes & prayers of others, we know God hears Everyone. What an amazing life Mr. Graumann has lived.
