#WalkItOut Podcast 55: Christie Purifoy
I have always dreamed of living in a spacious place. Of having an old house with a big garden, maybe an orchard. A trail that leads to a mountain path. Doesn’t that sound amazing? The truth is I live in a small Arkansas town outside of Little Rock. We live in a culdesac and there is a fire hydrant in our front yard. I don’t have a garden — in fact, I’d probably kill everything if I did have one, but we do want to have those spacious places. We want to know that we can make a difference. That we can cultivate places of comfort, beauty, and peace. Thankfully we don’t have to live on our own estate to have these things!
Today, I get to chat about these things with author Christie Purifoy. In her new book, Placemaker, she invites us to know our soul’s desire for beauty and our need to create and be creative. I love hearing her journey of how God did lead her to a spacious place, but then how those places opened up to all of us — that we can realize the beauty is around us!
I know that you’re going to enjoy my conversation with Christie! You can listen above or on iTunes! I’d love it if you shared with your friends!
