#WalkItOut Podcast 077: Kat Armstrong
Today we are going to be talking to Kat Armstrong. She is the co-founder and executive director of Polished a network that gathers young professional women to navigate careers and explore faith together. Kat has this message of “Look what God has for you! Embrace your identity. See how much God has in store for you as a minister of the gospel” because she has seen these questions over and over again. She has had these questions herself.
Even as a Christian writer and speaker, there are times I have these book contracts and I think — Do they know that I’m just a mom, living in the middle of nowhere who is sitting down with my Bible in my living room with these kids running around? Do they know that it’s just me? I remember one time very clearly when I got the contract for my first book, Dust and Ashes. Looking at that contract, I got so overwhelmed. I was working on that novel that was inspired by true events, and as all these thoughts were going through my mind, I remember thinking that I wouldn’t be able to get the facts right, I wouldn’t get the history right, that the writing wasn’t going to be good enough. I felt God whispering to my spirit, “I am your great liberator. I opened the gates. I freed you from sin. I unchained you from darkness —write about that.”
We are going to be talking with Kat today about our identity, and understanding who we are and how God sees us. As women, that will change everything.
You are going to enjoy my conversation with Kat. I know you will be blessed! You can listen above or on iTunes. I’d love it if you share this with your friends.
