Do you get distracted easily? I get distracted so much more than I used to. Even sitting down in introduce today’s guests, I was distracted by all things social media! If you are like me, getting distracted by so many things, I think you’re going to enjoy this week’s episode.
Today we’re chatting with Amanda Bacon and Anne-Renee Gumley who are the authors of the book Shiny Things: Mothering on Purpose in a World of Distractions. I love the idea of mothering on purpose. Not only do we have social media distractions, but we also have distractions of trying to keep up our house, making ourselves look good, making sure we’re doing what other moms around us are doing. I think so many times we’re missing out on what is important in our families. I’ve been a mom for over thirty years and in that time I’ve learned the things that are important, as well as those things that are not important. Today we’re going to be talking about the things that are important and the things that we need to be focusing on.

I know you are going to enjoy my conversation with Amanda Bacon and Anne-Renee Gumley! You can listen above or on iTunes. I’d love it if you share this with your friends and leave a review here.

This week’s Walk It Out scripture
Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
