The Week Ahead of Me (It’s Busy!)

What are you doing this week?

Today I’m having lunch with a friend and going to see another friend’s new baby! Then we have our Czech mission team meeting. Only five week until we head to Prague!

Tomorrow John’s team at FamilyLife
is having a family picnic. It’s supposed to be the coolest day. Only ninety degrees!

Wednesday I’ll be doing some research for a book project (when I’m not playing tea party, reading Maisy books, or making pb-and-j sandwiches) . . . and maybe even plan a play date that day! (Oh, Alyssa can come play, too!)

Thursday I have a phone appointment with my life coach, Alice Crider, who used to be my editor at Multnomah. If you’ve ever considered having a life coach, I highly recommend Alice. Later on
Thursday, I’m also excited to interview some great guests for my radio show: Laura Petherbridge and Ron Deal, authors of The Smart Stepmom: The Practical Steps to Help You Thrive. If you’re part of a step family or are connected to one (Who isn’t?), you’ll want to tune in (3PM CT — just click the “Listen Now” button over on my show’s landing page)!

Smart Stepmom, The: Practical Steps to Help You Thrive
Friday morning bright and early I’m being interviewed by The Social Homeschooler Radio show at 8:00. If you can’t tune in at that time I’ll let you know when the podcast is up! Then later on Friday,
I’m going to the zoo with my friend Christen Krumm. Christen is a Litfuse chick, and we work together daily but never met. I’m so excited to meet her, and I know the kids will have FUN!

Saturday, the most important thing is taking part in my grandson’s first birthday via Skype. Happy birthday, Clayton!

And as for writing . . . yeah, I need to figure out when I can do that!

A song I’ve been listening to a lot:

Twitter for Good: Change the World One Tweet at a Time
Books I’m reading:

Twitter for Good: Change the World One Tweet at a Time, by Claire Diaz-Ortiz
Heaven is Now: Awakening Your Five Senses to the Wonders of Grace, by Andrew Farley

Books I’m working on:

Amish novel
Amish devotional
Amish non-fiction/true story
…I’m sensing a theme

Idol Lies: Facing the Truth About Our Deepest DesiresBooks I got in the mail last week that I’m excited about:
Mother of Pearl: Luminous Lessons of Iridescent Faith (I have a story in it!)
Idol Lies by Dee Brestin (Advanced Reader copy for promotion)
Waiting for Spring by Amanda Cabot (for endorsement)
Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers, by Joey Allen, and The Complete Zoo Adventure (for Alyssa) and Life of Washington, originally published in 1942 (for me! Thank you, Master Books!)

Busy week! Wow . . . but I’m thankful that God will see me through every step of the way!

What does your week hold?
