I’d love to hear your thoughts. Leave a comment and on June 22, I’ll choose one winner to receive a copy of Praying for Your Future Husband.
More about the book: Have you ever thought about praying for your future husband?
Will it make a difference?
There’s only one way to find out…
From when we were small girls, most of us dream of “The One,” our future husband. We think about what it would be like to be a bride. We wonder who that special guy is and when we’ll find him. The great news is that what you do now can make a difference in your life and the life of your future husband!
Authors and good friends Robin Jones Gunn (Christy Miller series) and Tricia Goyer (author and former teen mom) believe God answers women’s prayers for husbands—even husbands they may not meet for years. They invite young women to pray boldly for their future mate … while also asking God to prepare their own hearts.
In Praying for Your Future Husband, Robin and Tricia share their two vastly different experiences, including the things they did right and the mistakes they made on the path to meeting and marrying their husbands. Each chapter includes helpful Bible verses, prayers, and practical application, along with true stories of women who prayed for a husband and how God answered in remarkable ways.
God has a beautiful romance prepared for you. Prayer is the key to unlocking the love story … with your future husband and with God, the lover of your soul.
I pray for a husband daily. I pray that he will be like the blessed man in Psalm 1. I do often lose hope, knowing that God may not bless me with a husband. I go from being content about that, to hurt by it.
I know God has someone very special to me, but sometimes it’s so hard to wait and pray for someone you never met, who does not know the name, do not know where you are … I confess that I prayed for my future husband, writing letters to him, but with the disappointments of life left to do that. I have not stopped believing that God has someone special for me! Just do not know how else pray for him: s
I wrote up a few verses, but I’ll leave only one
“My heart longs for,
By somebody
I could never contemplate.
Ah! Since I wanted to look in your eyes,
Play your face, feel your smell …
And losing track of time!
Wish for to make plans,
Dream the same dreams,
And we trace targets …
My Lord and my God!
My soul yearns for the day!
Day that will fill our hearts
With its pure and true LOVE! ”

I already have a wonderful husband (thank you, Jesus!) But I’m mentoring a 16-year-old girl right now, and after reading an excerpt of this book, I realized I need to be encouraging her to pray for her future husband. I’m thinking I need to get her a copy so we can talk through it together!
Baby, I’m already married, and if I’d known more about this then, I’d have followed it. Marriage is the biggest step a man and woman take. I’ll be buying this and recommending it for friends and children in the future. Being prepared in the spiritual sense probably gets the least attention paid to it.
Halleujah for revelation.
I read this book, and was blessed and inspired to begin praying fo rmy future husband. I’m not as regular about it as I should be, but I’m getting there and I am excited to one day find out how my prayers have helped him. I have even dedicated a notebook to writing down my prayers for him, and I plan to give it to him on our wedding day.
