Wonderful Counselor | Isaiah 9:6

wonderful-counselor

Saturday Scripture

Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Prayer

Papa God,
No gift can ever compare to the one you gave the world—your precious and perfect son. Through his birth, life, death, and resurrection, I can have a personal relationship with you and look forward to eternity in your glory. I am so humbled and grateful for the love and grace you give me, an unworthy, rebellious child. This Christmas season, may I reflect on the attributes of my savior and give you all praise. Gloria in excelsis deo!

Wonderful Counselor! Mighty God! Everlasting Father! Prince of Peace! (Isaiah 9:6)

Wonderful! That says it all. From how awesome God is in Christ to how pitiful we are who need His Grace! Come Lord Jesus!
