Where Writer’s Write

We built our “new” house in 2002, and I created a small personal office off our master bedroom. It’s been a presentation practice room, a personal retreat space when I close the door and play a CD, but mainly I wanted it for my workspace.
When my mother died in 2005, I splurged with some of the inheritance I got and ordered a workstation from Staples. I absolutely love it. It’s got drawers, shelves, and lots of desk space. I have brass miniatures of the candlestick and Ark of the Covenant I bought while in Israel four years ago. Someone who knows I loved chocolate, (I used to make and sell my own organic chocolate truffles until I went full-time for writing,) gave me a Hershey’s candle. When I light it, it smells like a melted Hershey’s chocolate bar. You almost want to eat it!
I love having everything at my fingertips—or to swivel my chair around to get something from a drawer, a shelf, or a bin.
I’m a list person. Once it’s out of my head and on a piece of paper, my brain is free to think about the next thing. Now, all I have to do is remember to look at all my lists!
I’m generally in here writing anywhere from four to six hours a day, sometimes more, depending. I wrote my first novel, Meghan’s Choice, a Selah and Will Rogers Medallion Award finalist. I’m currently doing final edits on my second novel, Rose’s Redemption, due out later this fall.
More about Meghan’s Choice

An unusual ultimatum. A young woman’s bold journey. Two handsome men. An amazing God. That’s Meghan’s Choice.
Meghan Gallagher complies with her father’s demand that she work on her own for a year by choosing to tutor eight children in a wild Kansas railroad town. But she had no idea just how wild it was until she was hit by a stray bullet and rescued by a local dance hall girl.
In short order, she meets a dark, handsome cowboy and a wholesome, attractive doctor who both vie for her heart. As things heat up around town, Meghan’s love life catches fire as well. Is she scandalous to allow both men to court her at the same time? And—how close a relationship with God does Meghan want? Will she draw near?
Meghan’s Choice was named a semi-finalist in the 2014 Operation First Novel by Jerry B. Jenkins and an honorable mention for the Golden Leaf Award in 2015.

I love all of your books you are the best
Thank you for your giveaway. I must say that if you are a chocolate lover than you are a gal after my own heart. Your candle sounds delicious. If I had one I could enjoy the scent as I curled up with your book and a nice dark Hershey’s chocolate bar!
Your book sounds inviting and would love to read it.
