Earlier this month I announced the “My Favorite Memory” contest and asked you to send in your favorite childhood memories to be entered to win 1 of 10 copies of my new book Sweet September!
Over the next few weeks I’ll be posting those entries. What a treat it has been to read your stories!
Martha:
I have so many great childhood memories, mostly spending time with my dad. He took me on trips with him and we did alot of fun things. One that I remember so well was when I was 12 and we went to San Francisco together. We listened to talk shows, the Beetles song “Cracker Box Palace”, and stayed at this old friend of my dad’s who had “Tana leaves” in his bathroom and a Plasma machine. We went to a computer convention and we had the absolute best calzone I have ever had in my life! I hauled around bags and bags of advertising and free stuff and was so tired, but it was the best couple of days, just having fun with my dad and gave us memories that we still laugh about!
Contest ended August 31st. The winners will be announced September 5th!
